Paragliding Course 1: The Basic Certificate

On the road to independence!

OBJECTIVE: THE INITIAL CERTIFICATE

Congratulations! You’ve completed your introductory course and made your first solo flight. Now you want to build on this experience and take it to the next level!

You are now beginning the course forthe Initial Paragliding Pilot Certificate. This certificate will attest to your ability to fly independently at familiar sites and in calm conditions. It combines practical and theoretical training and will enable you to advance to the blue level / Pilot Certificate.

The learning curve for Cycle 1 (Green Level) varies from student to student. Much like driving school, it will take as many flights as necessary for students to become independent.

We refer to these as “progression courses” (see detailed content)—a series of flights designed to allow you to practice exercises in calm conditions in order to reach the level required to obtain your initial license. This is a customized training program unique to our school. To participate in this part of the training, a session at the training slope is mandatory. These progression courses consist of half-day flights scheduled in the morning.

The program is flexible and available 7 days a week, adapting to your needs—either through individual flights (at a cost of €70 per flight) or through 10-flight packages with a sliding scale of rates.

We know that every student is different; some will need about thirty flights, while others may need more, to gain the independence required to fly safely and earn their initial pilot’s license.
