Paragliding Course in Slovenia

It's always a pleasure to go back there!

Why go to Slovenia for paragliding? For several reasons:

Its mountainous terrain, with foothills rising over 1,000 meters and a valley floor at 200 meters, already allows us to enjoy flights with significant elevation gains in calm conditions. But the “Holy Grail” must be earned; each flight is an adventure in itself…

The second part of the terrain is already more challenging. Right behind our first 1,000-meter peaks lie the rugged “Julian Alps,” which rise to over 2,000 meters. This isn’t a goal for most of the trainees joining us, but it certainly adds some serious elevation to our flights!
Instead, we’ll focus on the long ridges that we can use as a guide to attempt flights of about thirty kilometers. This is an interesting challenge for the intermediate pilots joining the trip, as it will require them to carefully plan their flight routes.

The numerous fields at the bottom of the valley provide ample grazing for large herds of cows and certainly encourage them to "roam freely."

After all, Slovenia isn't far—just an 8-hour drive away—and a change of scenery is guaranteed.
